Educational books for seven students
15 June 2026
Educational books provided to seven students to support their studies and encourage their academic progress.
A public charitable trust since 2003
Pass It On Trust was founded in Bengaluru to put education and care within reach of the children and women who need it most — and on the belief that every child who receives help should be able to pass it on to someone else.

Mrs. Ashoka Kumari Pushpakaran began by tutoring underprivileged children in her own home in Thanisandra — a few at a time, in the space she had. As the need grew, she and her late husband Mr. Pushpakaran formalised the work as a public charitable trust on 29 May 2003.
In 2008, after her husband's death, she was feeding, tutoring and sheltering thirteen children in that same home while raising her own two young children. What those children went on to achieve is why the trust kept growing.
“Holistic transformation of those who live in extreme poverty or hunger.”

The trust focuses on the rehabilitation of the weaker sections of society — through advocacy, direct interaction, preventive measures and awareness.
Assistance, care and support for individuals and families facing poverty, hardship and crisis — including the trust's sustained COVID-19 response.
15 recorded activities →Educational assistance, tuition, remedial classes, books, stationery and uniforms for children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
10 recorded activities →Charitable and community-development work for the welfare of society, particularly its vulnerable and disadvantaged sections, without discrimination.
5 recorded activities →Environmental responsibility through cleanliness drives, tree planting, waste management and sustainable living practices.
3 recorded activities →Compassionate care for animals, including sustained feeding programmes for stray dogs in the trust's neighbourhoods.
1 recorded activity →Bishop Sargent High School in Kothanur is the fullest expression of the trust's mission. The trust contributed to constructing the building, and the school runs from a 13,000 sq. ft. campus.
Around 300 students study there — many from families below the poverty line, among them the children of auto drivers and domestic workers, as well as orphans, semi-orphans and destitute children, alongside children from middle-class families.
Eleven batches have graduated under the trust's guidance, with recognitions including the Golden School Award 2019.

A record of what the trust has been doing, most recent first.
